Changes for Photography and Photo Education
Where is Photography Going?
At last year’s Society for Photographic Education conference in San Francisco, we asked over 100 students and world-leading educators a series of questions, including how photography changed their lives, what’s their favorite photo toy and who were their photo heroes.
This week’s installment features selections from these interviews on the topic of “What changes do you see coming in the future of photography and photo education?” We think there are some very interesting insights and a few surprising opinions here. We hope you can find some inspiration in what we’ve captured.
The visual arts have never been more exciting, from the old-school darkroom to the new world of digital capture, photography is allowing us to see more of the world than ever before. A big “thank you” to all who participated in these intriguing interviews, for sharing your dreams, insights and perspectives in this changing visual world. We look forward to seeing you in March at SPE’s 50th anniversary conference in our hometown of Chicago, March 7-10, 2013.
