What’s New: The PocketWizard PlusX 10-Channel Transceiver
PocketWizard broke a new record with their brand new PlusX 10-Channel Transceiver: it’s the first PocketWizard to ever be under $100 bucks.
Now, the old PocketWizard Plus II’s got close. I believe when we last sold them they were about $129.99. The Plus III’s are currently $149.00 – and you get a lot for those $49 extra bucks — but PocketWizard is breaking new ground with a sub-$100 transceiver.
So what do you get for $99.99. You get a very solid, very simple, very reliable 10-channel transceiver that is compatible with PocketWizard’s entire line. (Did you know PocketWizard channels 1 through 4 have never changed since they were first introduced?) Channels 1 through 4 are compatible across the board, from a Mini TT1 to an old PocketWizard Plus receiver that you have laying around.
All 10 channels are, of course, compatible with all PlusX’s that you buy, so if you’re shooting at a crowded event the odds of sharing a channel with someone have gone down considerably.
The best part? Even at $99.99, these guys have the same 500m (1,600 feet) range that we all know and love from PocketWizard.
