Photo of the Week 12 November 2013
Congratulations to Douglas E. Walker of Kenosee Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada, and his great photo “Red Rock Country”. We chatted with Douglas to hear a bit more about how he made this image.
You can see more of Douglas’ work on his blog, http://douglasewalker.blogspot.com.
What type of camera, gear and equipment did you use to capture the shot?
I used the Canon EOS 5D with Canon’s 17-40mm f/4 EF. I also used a few actions in Perfect Photo Suite.
Where was this image taken?
This shot was taken outside of St. George, Utah.
What do you enjoy most about landscape photography?
I shoot both professionally and for myself. When I shoot “personal” landscapes like this, I really enjoy that I am doing it for myself. No clients, no crew, no models, no permits. No pressure.
Who are some photographers that inspire you?
I’ve been inspired by British photography Philip Gallard, who I assisted for.
